10th International Wheelchair Day was celebrated for the 6th time in Nepal with a rally surrounding Bhrikutimandap. The theme of the day was ” Wheelchair friendly infrastructure, not in thoughts but in actions”. Around 230 wheelchair users along with their families, friends and supporters marched on a rally with awareness raising placards and flexes. The event is an opportunity to address issues of wheelchair accessibility in Nepal. SIRC is heartily thankful to donors, several disabled organizations and all for your active participation and for making this day indeed a day of celebration.
