Training and Development

SIRC’s multidisciplinary staff members are very active in training, research, and development. SIRC regularly offers one-day and three-day hands-on training courses for healthcare professionals throughout the country desiring to improve their clinical knowledge and practical skills related to caring for individuals with SCI. Additionally, SIRC staff are actively engaged in program and policy development at the national and international level, working with Nepal’s Ministry of Health and Population, International Spinal Cord Society, Cochrane Rehabilitation, and the World Health Organization. SIRC has been actively involved in clinical exchange programs at home and abroad while working with academic institutes to start a Doctor of Medicine residency program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation or Rehabilitation Medicine.
